30 Day ~ No Hassle Return Policy
Here at EarthWave Living we aim to please. Therefore, we know you will be completely satisfied with your purchases. However, in the unlikely event that you would like to return or exchange your product, rest easy in knowing that you may do so. Below you will find the details.
Returns or Exchanges If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for an exchange or a refund, as long as you return it Within 30 Days from the Order Date, and the product is in PERFECT & Unused Condition, with all the product parts, instruction manuals, etc. with absolutely no scratches, stains, soils, or damages.
* IMPORTANT NOTE: If we receive your package After 30 days from your order date, you will not be eligible for a refund or a direct exchange. At that point, you can only receive an online gift coupon for the dollar amount of your original order (minus shipping charges or any taxes), and you can use that gift coupon for a future purchase.
Some items may have a restocking fee and other items may not be returnable. Please see individual product details below.
Mountain House Food Returns: There are no returns on food items unless the product is damaged or defective. If you have a damaged or defective Can or Pouch please contact us for the Return Authorization (RA) Number.
Simple Hand Pump Returns: If you want to return your Hand Pump you must contact us within 15 days of receiving your shipment. We will give you a Return Authorization (RA) number. You will receive a full refund minus any shipping costs. There is a manufacturer’s 5 year parts guarantee that comes with your Simple Hand Pump.
Berkey Water Filter Returns: If you want to return or exchange your Water filter the plastic containing the filter must be unopened and the product must be unused. Otherwise it is unsalable. You must contact us within 30 days from your order date. We will give you a Return Authorization (RA) number. You will receive a full refund minus any shipping costs.
Appliance Returns: If you want to return or exchange your appliance you must contact us within 30 days from your order date. We will give you a Return Authorization (RA) number. You will receive a full refund minus any shipping costs.
The Procedure for Returns or Exchanges:
The BEST procedure to follow is to email us at service@earthwaveliving.com and explain your situation. You may also call us at 1-888-589-WAVE, but we prefer email. We will then email to you a Return Authorization (RA) Number.
After you've received your RA number, write your RA number on your original invoice (or a copy of it) and include it in your package. Please carefully package your item along with your invoice. We cannot be responsible for packages and products that are damaged in transit. If we receive products that were damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to resolve that with your shipping carrier or the US Postal Service, and under such circumstances, we are not obligated to offer you an exchange or refund.
If you want an Exchange, write on your invoice, the item you want to get in exchange. If it is for the same price as your original purchase, that will be an even exchange. If it is for a higher price, we will have to charge you the difference. If it is for a lower price, we will refund the difference through your credit card.
If you are sure you do not want an exchange, and you only want a Refund, as long as we receive the merchandise in Perfect Condition (as described above), we will issue you a refund within 14 business days from the day we receive it and determine its condition. That refund will be Only for the original price of the merchandise itself (and sales tax, if applicable), NOT any shipping charges. Plus you must pay your own shipping charges to send us back the merchandise.
Shipping Charges:
As explained above, with Returns, we will not refund any shipping charges, and you must pay your own shipping charges to send the merchandise back to us. With Exchanges, you must pay your own shipping charges to send it back to us, but we will pick up the tab to send you the Exchanged item.

Our Shipping Method: The information here is primarily for Ground Shipping to the 48 Contiguous United States and Canada. We ship via UPS and Common Carrier Trucking Companies (LTL) for most all of our products. On each product order page on our site, there is a Shipping Information area that explains the shipping information of that product. In many cases, especially with our Simple Hand Pumps, there is a specified production time before the item is shipped out. If you order Expedited Delivery, that production time still applies before the item ships out. You will see the expedited shipping options under each product if expedited shipping is available. You must select it here for your order to be processed with expedited shipping. Also, don't count weekends in your overnight, 2 or 3 day expedited delivery. For example, if you order an item that ships out same day if your order is in by 11AM on a Friday morning and select overnight delivery you will not receive the item until Monday. UPS does not delivery on Saturdays. Our Shipping Prices: We offer free shipping on selected products. Please check each product for shipping details. Sales Tax: We must charge Washington state sales tax for all orders shipped to Washington state addresses.
Shipping Outside the U.S.: We will ship to Canada and most other countries. Typically you will be charged a brokerage charge for shipping to Canada. We are not responsible for any brokerage charges on any packages shipping to Canada. Those charges come from a combination of Canadian Customs and the shipping companies, like UPS. We cannot control these costs as they are not charges that EarthWave Living charges. We only charge the regular Shipping & Handling charge. On top of that, generally, the higher the value of the item, the higher the brokerage charge, and we have no way of knowing how much those brokerage charges are. So, if your package is shipping to Canada, you may want to consider this before you place your order. With larger products that ship Common Carrier (LTL), a broker may be needed. We will notify you of these charges before shipping your item. Again, this is only for some large items that ship via Common Carrier
Our Processing Time: We process orders Monday thru Friday, between 11am and 4pm (Pacific Time). From the time we receive your order, it will be processed within 24-48 business hours (that does NOT include Saturday, Sunday or Holidays). The time and date of the shipment will vary depending on the product. Please see the product information for individualized shipping times.
