Wise Foods
Wise Foods takes a unique approach to food storage. Foregoing #10 cans, Wise packages various four-serving pouches of ready-to-eat meals in a four-gallon container. In the event an emergency is quickly approaching your area, Wise's containers can be grabbed by nearly anyone in your family. Don't worry about food when faced with an emergency. Wise's containers have pouches to last a family of four up to a year.
The containers have a few more advantages. In addition to being lightweight, they do not need foods to be rotated every few years. When creating food storage, Wise's square plastic containers can be easily stacked in any appropriate storage space and feature a resealable pull-tab lid. Place them in any dry, cool, and dark area inside your home.
Getting food to last is a significant concern in emergency preparedness. Wise Foods eliminates a resealing strategy. Instead, all foods are stored in nitrogen-flushed Mylar pouches, with four servings in each. When you need to prepare a meal for yourself and your family, pour water into a pouch and wait 10 to 12 minutes for the food to rehydrate.
The airtight, nitrogen-flushed pouches have 98 percent of the residual oxygen removed. This storage method allows all freeze-dried or dehydrated Wise Foods to retain their original flavor, color, texture, and nutritional value.
Wise Foods can be used in an emergency or on a camping trip and have a lifespan of 25 years. When storing Wise Foods in your home, find the right place for food storage. Even with a unique design, Wise Foods are still susceptible to deterioration from light, oxygen, and moisture. Choose an area in your home that is dry, cool, dark, and chemical free and that can easily be accessed when an emergency is approaching. However, do not keep containers of Wise Foods buried underground, in a trash can, or near household chemicals.
