The organic heirloom seeds are packaged in airtight glassine envelopes, with each type of seed labeled. The cans containing their seeds, additionally, have a resealable lid. The seeds should last five to nine years, as long as the cans are stored between 66 and 70 degrees in a dry area. Such cans, additionally, are designed to provide a lifetime of planting and crops for an individual, with an acre regularly filled with various vegetables and herbs.
Each can of herb, grain, or vegetable seeds is filled with heirloom seeds for several crops. These are typically for eating. Vegetables can be grown and prepared a number of ways – even canned or dehydrated for future use – and the grains can be milled for current or future use in bread or other dishes.
