Every Rain Barrel comes with a Linking Kit to provide additional capacity of rain water storage as your water and garden needs grow. A hidden overflow tube at the base of the Rain Barrel prevents water from ruining your surroundings, while an attachment system on the side of the barrel enables two water containers to be connected with ease.
The attached 4 ft. long hose helps you move the water when necessary and an easy thumb valve at the top of the hose begins the water flow in seconds. A notch at the top of the Rain Barrel offers a place for the hose to rest, for quick accessibility. A safety grid and removable debris screen at the top of the opening prevents leaves and other matter from contaminating your water. The polycarbonate construction and reinforced sides will easily withstand the pressure of water once the Rain Barrel is filled, for several seasons of use.
Rather than wasting water coming out of the tap, collect it through a rain barrel. Placed outside, one of these polyethylene rain barrels is designed to collect and conserve water. From watering your garden to hydration to several other uses, a rain barrel simply needs to be placed outside to collect water. Your downspout can even be diverted to your rain barrel.
EarthWave Living carries a few designs of garden rain barrels, all of which have a capacity between 50 and 75 gallons. Each barrel is made from UV-resistant polyethylene – an ideal material for the outdoors – that is made from 25-percent recycled materials. Each is designed with a hidden overflow tube at the base to prevent any water damage resulting from an overflow and also with an attachment to connect two barrels. This attachment consists of a four-foot long hose with a valve for linking two containers. A rain barrel diverter for your downspout can also be added to the setup.
Keeping your water clean before filtering is important, and all rain barrels in our store come with a safety grid and removable debris screen. These placed over the opening prevents leaves and other debris from falling into the barrel and contaminating your water supply.
