Simple Pumps are hand water pumps that work as reliable backups right beside existing well pumps. So even in a power outage, you can still drink clean water, take showers, and flush toilets - without electricity. Just hook one end of a hose to the Simple Pump™ and the other end to your pressure tank, and water will come out of your household spigot at normal pressure.

What do you do when your power goes out? For most, this might mean taking out a backup generator to power basic items around the home. However, when your water source is a well and you use an electric well pump, a power outage means your water supply is cut off for the time being. But, as power outages can sometimes last a few days, you should have a backup well pump. In this case, a hand pump will get the water you need through the power outage.
A family can use from 100 to 260 gallons of water per day, and having this cut off is a significant loss. A hand water pump, on the other hand, hooks up to your well and allows you to obtain the water manually. Placed beside an electric well pump, a hand water pump attaches at one end to a hose and to a tank on the other end. Water will start to come out of the spigot after the connection is made.
Three and five GPM hand water pumps are available through EarthWave Living. Because wells vary in size, our hand water pumps by Simple Pumps come with customized features. Use the drop down menus to create a hand pump package that meets your specific needs. Beforehand, however, know your well’s depth, static level, and casing size, so you can decide on the ideal size for your drop pipe.
All hand water pumps for wells sold through EarthWave Living come with multiple pieces of drop pipe, a well cap, a valve and pressure gauge assembly, and seal kit. Additionally, options for a solar or battery-powered DC gear motor for the pump are also available.
